Full PhD scholarship supporting doctoral research at the University of Sydney (Department of Government and International Relations). The award combined two components covering 3.5 years:

  • International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) — full tuition fees (AUD 28,560 per annum) and Overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of the doctorate: ≈ AUD 99,960 over 3.5 years.
  • Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) — a living-allowance stipend, paid at AUD 24,653 per annum in 2013: ≈ AUD 86,286 over 3.5 years.

Combined value: ≈ AUD 186,200 over 3.5 years, plus health cover.
