Digital Media Methods: Applications of R Software and RStudio to Social Research

Two-day professional development workshop introducing R programming fundamentals and social media data collection. Day 1 covered R/RStudio basics, data manipulation with dplyr, visualisation with ggplot2, and text mining with the tm package using Twitter data from the #smachedavo protest. Day 2 focused on API authentication, live Twitter data collection with the twitteR package, control flow, and automated data scraping workflows.
